Siri

Siri is an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator which works as an application for Apple's iOS. The application uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of Web services. Apple claims that the software adapts to the user's individual preferences over time and personalizes results, and performing tasks such as finding recommendations for nearby restaurants, or getting directions.

Siri was originally introduced as an iOS application available in the App Store by Siri, Inc., which was acquired by Apple on April 28, 2010. Siri, Inc. had announced that their software would be available for BlackBerry and for Android-powered phones, but all development efforts for non-Apple platforms were cancelled after the acquisition by Apple. 

Siri, Inc. was founded in 2007 by Dag Kittlaus (CEO), Adam Cheyer (VP Engineering), and Tom Gruber (CTO/VP Design), together with Norman Winarsky from SRI International's venture group, and is named after SRI (although Kittlaus claims he wanted to name the daughter he never had "Siri", Norwegian for "beautiful woman who leads you to victory", he cites as primary "the fact that [it] is easy to spell [and] easy to say". On October 13, 2008, Siri announced it had raised an $8.5 million Series A financing round, led by Menlo Ventures and Morgenthaler Ventures In November 2009, Siri raised a $15.5 million Series B financing round from the same investors as in their previous round, but led by Hong-Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing. Dag Kittlaus left his position as CEO of Siri at Apple after the launch of the iPhone 4S.[11]

Bill Gates

Gates stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in January 2000. He remained as chairman and created the position of chief software architect. In June 2006, Gates announced that he would be transitioning from full-time work at Microsoft to part-time work, and full-time work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He gradually transferred his duties to Ray Ozzie, chief software architect, and Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer. Gates's last full-time day at Microsoft was June 27, 2008. He remains at Microsoft as non-executive chairman.

The Genius Man Steve Jobs

Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs ( February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American entrepreneur. He is best known as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Through Apple, he was widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields. Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar.

In the late 1970s, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak engineered one of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series. Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC's mouse-driven graphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Apple Lisa and, one year later, the Macintosh. By introducing the LaserWriter he enabled a revolution called desktop publishing.

After losing a power struggle with the board of directors in 1985, Jobs left Apple and founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher-education and business markets. In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm, which was spun off as Pixar. He was credited in Toy Story (1995) as an executive producer. Darwis Triadi The Best Photographer

Andreas Darwis Triadi (lahir: Solo, Jawa Tengah, 15 Oktober 1954) atau lebih dikenal dengan Darwis Triadi adalah seorang ahli fotografer glamor dan fashion senior Indonesia.

Darwis Triadi mengembangkan minat fotografinya sejak tahun 1979. Ilmu desain pun turut dipelajari untuk memperkaya kemampuan artistiknya. Karena prestasinya yang terus meningkat, dia diberi kepercayaan untuk menampilkan karyanya pada majalah tahunan Hasselblad yang berskala internasional pada tahun 1990. Dalam kurun waktu bersamaan, ia sempat mempresentasikan slide andalannya dalam acara Photo Kina International Competition di Köln, Jerman. Kompetisi ini digelar dalam rangka "Hasselblad International Annual". Setahun kemudian, majalah internasional Vogue memajang karyanya pada artikel spesial tentang Indonesia. Bron Elektronik AG dari Swiss, produsen lampu Broncolor, memilihnya untuk mengisi kalender Broncolor tahun 1997. Darwis akhir-akhir ini sering membuat seminar, dan workshop tentang fotografi. Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters  is the current Japanese tokusatsu drama in the Super Sentai Series. It is the 36th entry in Toei Company's Super Sentai Series, following Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. It premiered on February 26, 2012 on TV Asahi, joining Kamen Rider Fourze and then Kamen Rider Wizard as a program featured in TV Asahi's Super Hero Time programming block.

On September 2, 2011, Toei applied for trademarks on the title to be used on various products.The Japan Patent Office approved these trademarks on September 29, 2011. 

Thirteen years ago in the New Common Era calendar, the computer controlling of the newly discovered energy source called Enetron  was infected by a virus that caused it to create the evil energy being known as Messiah who wishes to take over mankind and create a world made for machines. Though sent into subspace, Messiah's actions established the formation of the Energy Management Center's Special Ops Unit from three children who were caught in the crossfire, the Go-Busters. In the year 2012 NC, the present day, Messiah's underlings, called Vaglass, attempt further incursions to gather enough Enetron to bring their master back. However, training for this day, the Go-Busters and their Buddyloids are deployed to combat Vaglass's Metaloids and Megazords to protect the city's Enetron from them. 

The Go-Busters consist of three children who survived an accident 13 years ago at the Energy Management Center concerning the Vaglass virus program that went haywire on the Energy Management Center office's main computer, obtaining superhuman abilities in the process, along with side-effects. The team also consists of the Buddyloids the Go-Busters' sentient partner robots. In Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie, the Go-Busters have cameo appearances where they confront Basco ta Jolokia as part of a special mission.

iPod Nano 2012 ( 7th generation)

iPod

iPod adalah merek serangkaian perangkat pemutar media digital yang dirancang dan dijual oleh Apple (Hewlett-Packard juga sempat menjual produk tersebut dengan nama Apple iPod + HP). Nama "iPod" juga dahulu merupakan nama salah satu varian pemutar media digital dalam rangkaian tersebut (varian ini kini disebut "iPod classic"). iPAD

iPad adalah sebuah produk komputer tablet buatan Apple Inc. (AI). iPad memiliki bentuk tampilan yang hampir serupa dengan iPod Touch dan iPhone, hanya saja ukurannya lebih besar dibandingkan kedua produk tersebut dan memiliki fungsi-fungsi tambahan seperti yang ada pada sistem operasi Mac OS X. 

Tablet komputer pertama Apple adalah Newton MessagePad 100, yang pertama kali diperkenalkan tahun 1993. Apple juga meluncurkan prototype tablet berbasis PowerBook Duo, PenLite, namun memutuskan untuk tidak menjualnya karena khawatir akan mengurangi penjualan MessagePad.Setelah itu Apple kembali meluncurkan beberapa PDA berbasis Newton; yang terakhri, MessagePad 2100, dihentikan produksinya pada tahun 1998.

iPhone adalah telepon genggam revolusioner yang diproduksi oleh Apple Inc. yang memiliki fungsi kamera, pemutar multimedia, SMS, dan voicemail.

Selain itu telepon ini juga dapat dihubungkan dengan jaringan internet, untuk melakukan berbagai aktivitas misalnya mengirim/menerima email, menjelajah web, dan lain-lain. Generasi terbaru iPhone yaitu iPhone 4S telah dirilis pada akhir oktober 2011. Peluncurannya sangat ditunggu oleh para penggemar iPhone diseluruh dunia. Fitur yang dibawa iPhone 4S antara lain fitur suara (Siri), iMessage dan Smart Reminder (pengingat pintar). Namun kabar terbaru iPhone 4S memiliki beberapa bug (masalah) pada bagian baterai yang mudah drop.

Generasi selanjutnya iPhone 5 menurut isu yang ada akan di keluarkan pada tahun 2012, di duga akan mengalami perombakkan desain, iPhone generasi ini merupakkan iPhone terakhir yg di desain oleh Steve Jobs, pendiri apple sebelum meninggal.

Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower alias Nippon Denpato berada di Taman Shiba, Tokyo, Jepang.Dibangun  pada tahun 1957 dan selesai pada tahun 1958. Desainya mirip sama menara Eifel di Paris. Tinggi menara 332, 6 m lebih dari menara Eifel tinggi 8,6 m, namun beratnya masih kalah dengan menara Eifel yaitu 7.300 ton sedankan Tokyo Tower 4.200. Desainya mirip sama menara Eifel di Paris. Peracaya atau enggak pertama-tamanya ini cuma antena pemancar biasa yang bisa mencakup hingga wilayah Kanto (radius 100 Km).  Pencetusnya adalah pengusaha surat kabar dari Osaka bernama Hisakichi Maeda (nantinya direktur utama Sankei Shimbun, Kansai Telecasting Corporation, dan Osaka Broadcasting Corporation). Hisakichi melihat kebutuhan mendirikan menara pemancar bersama untuk sejumlah stasiun TV di Tokyo.. Sebelum Menara Tokyo didirikan, sejumlah stasiun TV di Tokyo, NHK General TV, Nippon Television (NTV), dan TBS sudah beroperasi dengan antena pemancar sendiri yang tingginya mencapai 170 m. Pada tahun 1958, Fuji TV, NET (sekarang TV Asahi), dan saluran pendidikan NHK mulai memindahkan antena pemancar ke Menara Tokyo.Maskot menara adalah si kakak beradik "Noppon" yang berasal dari kata "Noppo" (si tinggi). Baju berwarna biru dikenakan Noppon yang lahir terlebih dahulu, sedangkan si Noppon satunya memakai baju berwarna merah.

It has been earlier reported that AAA will be releasing their 7th studio album this Aug 22nd in celebration of their 7th anniversary. The said album is titled: "777 ~TRIPLE SEVEN~".

AAA's Takahiro Nishijima Cast As Voice Actor For One Piece

AAA's Takahiro Nishijima has been cast in his first voice acting role for the popular anime series "One Piece".

The singer participated in an open recording of the special episode "ONE PIECE Episode of Nami Koukaishi no Namida to Nakama no Kizuna". The 2 hour special episode will be aired on August 25th.

AAA will be providing the theme song for the anime. The song is a cover ofHiroshi Kitadani's "We Are!", the first theme song for the series. It will also be included in the group's upcoming album "777 ~TRIPLE SEVEN~" which be released on August 22nd.

Kamen Rider Wizard

Kamen Rider Wizard (仮面ライダーウィザード) is an upcoming Japanese tokusatsu drama inToei Company's Kamen Rider Series, being the fourteenth series in the Heisei period run and the twenty-third overall. Trademarks on the title were filed by Toei in June 21, 2012, and it was officially revealed on June 27, 2012. It will begin airing on September 2, 2012.Tsuyoshi Kida will be the series' main screenwriter.  

Sohma gains these abilities after surviving being sacrificed as part of a ritual during a solar eclipse, and he helps rescue Koyomi, portrayed by Makoto Okunaka, but not even she is sure if she is a human like Sohma or one of the creatures that were to be summoned in the ritual. Sohma, who is often misunderstood by others, now finds his mundane life boring now that he must fight demons called the Phantoms. Also joining Haruto and Koyomi is Shunpei Nara, portrayed by Junki Totsuka, who wants to be an apprentice wizard to Haruto. Other cast members include Rinko Daimon, portrayed by Yuko Takayama, who is a rookie detective at the local police department who investigates the event that brought the Phantoms into the real world, and Shigeru Wajima, portrayed by Hisahiro Ogura, the owner of a local antique shop who seems to know how Kamen Rider Wizard's ring and belt work and houses Haruto and Koyomi in his shop.

3D Film Concept

A 3D or 3-D (three-dimensional) film or S3D (stereoscopic 3D) film is a motion picture that enhances the illusion of depth perception. AIBO ANIMALOID ROBOT

Aibo (Artificial Intelligence Robot) robot berbentuk anjing ini berukuran 180 (lebar) x 278 (tinggi) dan 319 (panjang) mm, beratnya 1,65 kg (termasuk baterai dan kartu memorinya). Robot yang tidak kalah terkenalnya dengan ASIMO ini buatan perusahaan SONY. Berbeda dengan ASIMO maupun robot-robot pada umumnya, Aibo mempunyai kemampuan melakukan gerak dan reaksi dari dirinya sendiri. Dengan adanya kemampuan ini, AIBO seolah-olah memiliki insting dan kemauan seperti layaknya seekor anjing. Apabila ‘merasa’ tidak senang, ia bisa ngambek, tidak mau mematuhi perintah si pemilik atau operatornya (orang yang memainkannya), repot juga ya kalo si robot anjing ini jadi ngambek!!!!.

Menurut pengakuan Bapak Fauzi dari SONY Center Jakarta, pemilik harus tetap dapat menjaga ‘perasaan’ AIBO karena anjing buatan ini bisa juga sedih bahkan marah, terlihat dari lampu indikator pengganti mata. Kalau telah melakukan sebuah perintah dengan baik, dia harus dipuji (dengan cara mengelus-elus kepala atau badannya seperti anjing betulan) supaya ia tahu apa yang dilakukannya sudah betul. (Kadang ia akan membalas dengan menggoyangkan buntutnya!).

Pada umumnya AIBO yang dijual di pasaran adalah AIBO yang ‘dewasa’ dan sudah ‘pintar’, sehingga tidak perlu diajari lagi. Kita hanya perlu meng-input suara kita sebagai set-up awal untuk mengenali suara pemiliknya. Lalu, bagaimana kalau pemiliknya satu keluarga? Tenang saja, AIBO ini memiliki kapasitas memori yang cukup sehingga suara sekeluarga, bisa di-input dan dikenali oleh AIBO.

Robot Asimo Baru Buatan Honda, Mampu Bergerak Seperti Manusia

ROBOT HONDA: Robot buatan Honda Motor bernama Asimo sedang memamerkan kemampuannya bergerak seperti layaknya manusia di markas Honda Tokyo, Minggu (5/2).Pabrikan mobil dan motor Jepang, Honda Motor, memperkenalkan robot buatannya, Asimo, yang telah mengalami penyempurnaan, di Tokyo, Minggu.Robot Asimo baru ini diklaim Honda bisa bergerak seperti gerakan manusia dan bisa berlari dengan kecepatan 6 km per jam.Honda memperkenalkan Asimo baru itu di hadapan khalayak di halaman kantor pusatnya di Tokyo.Asimo baru ini memiliki tinggi 1,3 meter dan berat 54 kg.Rencananya Asimo akan melakukan debutnya sebagai pelayan di kantor dengan membantu membawakan minuman bagi para tamu. Namun belum dijelaskan mulai kapan Asimo itu akan ditugaskan di kantor.

Sony Smartwacth Preview

Perangkat aksesoris seperti Sony Smartwatch memang bukan yang pertama kali bagi Sony Mobile untuk ponsel Android. Sebelumnya Sony yang saat itu masih bersama dengan Ericsson mengembangkan sebuah jam tangan yang dapat di hubungkan dengan ponsel Android bernama LiveView. Smartwatch tak hanya berfungsi sebagai penunjuk waktu namun lebih dari itu seperti menampilkan notifikasi telepon dan melakukan kontrol sederhana. Tak ketinggalan pula notifikasi dari twitter dan update facebook, serta kontrol musik dan panggilan tak terjawab juga disematkan pada Sony Smartwatch. 

Sony Smartwatch menggunakan baterai non-removable yang artinya tidak dapat dilepas, jadi untuk mengisi ulang tinggal menancapkan kabel USB ke port yang telah disediakan. Port tersebut ditutup oleh klip pegas dan menggunakan konektor proprietary. Sejujurnya kami lebih suka jika menggunakan micro-USB sehingga kita hanya membutuhkan satu kabel untuk mengisi ulang ponsel dan jam ini.


Sangat disayangkan bila konektor tersebut tidak kedap air, jadi kita harus cukup waspada bila menggunakannya ditempat yang banyak mengandung air misalnya saat hujan. Kalau bosan dengan warna karet jam ini kita dapat menggantinya dengan warna lain seperti putih, pink, abu-abu, hijau dan biru tersedia dalam paket terpisah yang dapat ditebus seharga $19,5 SGR atau setara dengan 141.000 rupiah.

BAE Systems' NAVSOP does positioning without GPS, makes sure the only jammin' going on is yours

Just in case GPS and GLONASS didn't make for enough of an acronym soup, BAE Systems wants to add one more to the navigation broth. NAVSOP (Navigation via Signals of Opportunity) uses some of the basic concepts we know from cell tower triangulation and WiFi location-finding to lock down a position, but goes much further to geolocate from nearly anything that pushes out a signal, such as nearby radios and TVs. It doesn't even need to know what kind of signal it's looking at, and it can get its position in places there's no GPS to work from, whether it's in an urban canyon or the natural kind. BAE is most excited about the prospects of ending GPS jamming against soldiers and UAVs, once and for all: not only is the new technology mostly impervious to attempts to block its signal, it can use the jamming attempt itself to get the position fix. Thankfully, the company's roots in defense aren't precluding use for civilians, so there's a chance that future smartphones might never have to use guesswork to get their bearings -- provided that governments around the world sign off on the idea, that is.

Hands-on with Microsoft Surface for Windows RT, Touch Cover and Type Cover

We're here live at Microsoft's press event in Los Angeles, where it just unveiled not just the rumored tablet you were hoping for, but two tablets: Surface for Windows RT, which has an NVIDIA chip inside, and Surface for Windows 8 Pro, which runs off Ultrabook-grade Ivy Bridge processors. (Yes, Surface here is the name of a tablet line, not software optimized for large touchscreens. Get that out of your system now.) Though the two differ slightly in dimensions, with the Pro model measuring in slightly thicker, both have a slim kickstand, about as thick as a credit card, that folds out of the backside like the tail of a photo frame. Both are made of magnesium and, perhaps most importantly, work with either oftwo magnetic covers that double as keyboards (one with multitouch input, and one with physical, three-dimensional keys).

No word on pricing -- just that Surface for Windows RT will cost about what you'll end up paying for other Windows RT tablets, and that the Pro version will fetch similar prices as Ultrabooks. We saw Surface for RT as well as both keyboards on display at the demo area here following Microsoft's big press event. We've got a gallery of hands-on shots, as well as impressions past the break.

Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 get Windows Phone 7.5 update, finally get to Tango (updated)

We'd heard that the Lumia 800 and 710 were to get Windows Phone 7.5 sometime soon, but the time has officially arrived for these two to Tango. Today Nokia announced that the fresh code has already started rolling out, bringing hotspot and flip-to-silence functionality to the handsets. Plus, once you've updated via your Zune desktop software, access to the nifty Camera Extras software -- alreeady promised to Scalado-poeweredLumia 900 owners -- is but a download away. As a refresher, those Extras allow Lumias to take Smart Group Shots, provide a better burst mode for action pics, plus add a self-timer and panorama mode as well. Update: As our astute commenters have pointed out, the Lumias both have Mango onboard, so this bit of software is but an update to Windows Phone 7.5 that brings additional features.
